Germany, 2014 elections

On 25.05.2014 Pirate Party of Germany receives 1.4% of votes, giving it 1 seat in EU Parliament.

Sweden, 2009 elections

On 07.06.2009 Pirate Party of Sweden receives 7,13% of votes, giving it 1 seat, and from December 2011 two seats in EU Parliament. The very first Pirate victory. Pirate Party accomplished what some believed to be the impossible.

The Pirate Party have joined 'The Greens / European Free Alliance group'.

National elections

Czech Republic, senatorial elections 2012

On 20.10.2012 in the second round of senatorial elections (second national chamber) a common candidate of the CPS (Ceska Piratska Strana), the Greens and the Christian Democrats was elected with about 75% of the votes in election district Prague 2 and 3 after reaching the second round by getting about 24% of botes in round one.

Iceland

2013

On 27.04.2013 at regular national elections to the Althing, the Icelandic parliament, the Pirate Party of Iceland won three seats there with 5.1% of votes (limit for representation 5%):

  • Jón Thór Ólafsson (Reykjavik South)
  • Helgi Hrafn Gunnarsson (Reykjavik North)

Regional/state elections

Germany, Berlin House of Representatives (Parliament) 2011 election

18.09.2011 for the first time in history Pirate Party gets 8,9% and enters a state parliament with 15 seats. This is the second major success after the 2009 EU elections.

Germany, Saarland Parliament 2012 election

The Saarland Parliament coalition collapsed in the beginning of January, 2012 which prompted to the snap election that took place 25.03.2012. Pirate Party had only 60 days for their election campaign and gained 7,4% and 4 seats in Parliament.

Germany, Schleswig-Holstein Parliament 2012 election

06.05.2012 Pirate Party gets 8,2% and 6 seats in Parliament. The third election win for German Pirates which have moved them from fringe party to mainstream movement in less than a year.

Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia Parliament 2012 election

Аfter the minority government collapsed, a snap election has been announced for 13.05.2012. The election in the largest German state brought the Pirates 608,957 votes, 7,8% and 20 seats in the Parliament.
