Next meeting 30th August at 20.00 (Berlin time) = 19.00 (London) = 13.00 (Mexico) = 14.00 (Detroit)
Mumble channel: International -> Pirate Parties International -> ppintnews
(Description of mumble: http://wiki.pp-international.net/Mumble )
Mail me if you have problems finding the mumble channel: international@piratpartiet.se or type in chat on this pad. Protocol from last meeting: http://ppintnews.piratepad.eu/teammeeting-19-08-12
Atendees: Andrew Daniel Josef Domi Gefion
Chairing: Josef (Gefion) Protocol: Andrew
Topics 1) Introduction of team members (quick 2min intro - who are you? why here?) (no new members) 2) Newsletter project status (quick report by Josef) + answering of questions (problems with articles but now we have articles on line - web site down time - have to look for an alternative hosting solution see below ) 3) Follow-up on last meeting: http://ppintnews.piratepad.eu/teammeeting-19-08-12 Google Calendar http://bit.ly/piratetimescalendar (pirate events) http://bit.ly/piratetimescalendar2 (pirate relevant events) Access through our gmail account thepiratetimes@gmail.com ask Josef if you need access to make edits (believe only google accounts work for this) 4) Open tasks in Trello
4a) Articles (progress?) 4b) Trello change: "tasks in progress" changed to "recurring tasks" suggestion to have a meeting for the style guide on saturday time? Not convieniet for Daniel He will talk to Gefion and find a date and time Monday 3 September 08:00 CET 08:UK Tiem. Gefeion will send invite on mailing list
5) Mail-newsletter (if biweekly our first newsletter should come now) (How does it work for Flaschenpost? Josef will ask Gefion) Gefion will show interested people after the meeting 6) Proof-reading on Wordpress (to discuss if Daniel is present) (Access will need to be given. Default will be in WP - It works in Flaschen Post A copy can be kept in pad. Josef will fix access for proof readers.) 7) Website (to discuss if Domi is present) Pages (don't need them at the moment) Articles (there was a lack of articles but flow is now better) Launch review (quite successful but downtime shortly after, fixed by Gregory). 17days after launch right now and running quite smoothly but might need a backup solution. Design plans (successful but some improvement of slight nature coming) Section for user-tips (provide a way for user feed back to be sent - this can wait for now) We need a back up solution - Domi can provide a temp solution, but the expense on his behalf cuts PirateTimes' independence (unless it gets a budget on hosting) and its freedom of publication would be limited as the webservers are in Germany. The current servers suffer of q&d configuration in the event of high traffic. We may need a hosting alternative but we have no budget. Josef says we have a small budget. Domi - there is a potential problem of independence. Cloudflare can deliver a copy of the site to the audience but on down time it would copy the downtime to the cloud as well. It can take over the problem of heavy traffic only.)
8) PR distribution lists - collective IMAP? (to discuss if Gefion is present)
-Not sure what else we can do here apart from assigning responsibles and start collecting
PR-releases. (Gefion describes Flaschenpost system - uses an IMAP accound where people can look for Pr and use them. In Germany - state parties, parliaments, NGO's 5-7 people have access and 1 person per week reads all messages and sorts them to folders. The team then looks at the folder and choosed what they want. Languages may need to be considered. Gefion will talk to Josef and set up news@piratetimes.net Andrew volunteers. Daniel volunteered.) 9) Use of pictures
(Some pictures are not being provided with license - if no license it will not be published.)
