4 - REPORTS

4.1 - Short reports of the board members 1)

Board

  • Keith Goldstein: I put up a 6 blogs about the Czech election victory, the German GA, UN visits, and group meetings. I am trying to coordinate the GA and TT5. I was waiting on a response from PPEU on TT5 whom I contacted a few times.
  • Gregory Engels:
  • Bailey Lamon: Wondering about the GA. Should we reach out to PPEU about doing a joint GA. If both orgs. are doing something in Jan., maybe we should do it together.
Bastian, they are planning for Slovenia, and it would be a very expensive meeting there.
Davoodi, we can consider a future GA with PPEU.
Babak, we should tell PPEU upfront so we can tell them where our meeting will be to improve the possibility to align.
  • Alexander Isavnin: Nothing special to report, still Pirate life in Russia, participated in Pirate beer.
  • Sebastian Krone:
  • I monitored the PPI technology as I do every day.
All patches are up to date.
All systems are running smoothly.
Our measures to prevent rejection messages are proving effective. No further emails from Gmail have been rejected.
The Pirate Party Germany cannot find any errors, but our mail server is still blocked there.
  • I have not yet received a reply from Carlos and Schoresch as to where I should send the password for their mailbox at pp-international.
  • Maycow Toledo:

  • Carlos Polo

5.2 - Working Groups Update

  • GA Working Group Team
Let´s write a blog about it. We will confirm the group at the next meeting.

5.3 Economic Update

  • Treasurer Report:
Bank accounts 3,369.76 CHF / -6.60 EUR
PayPal 379.56 EUR
It is very difficult to open a Bitcoin account for an association. I have contacted four banks so far, without success. But I'm not giving up.

5.4 ECOSOC/UN

  • We were recently excluded from a conference at the UN. 9th Global Conference on Criminal Finances and Cryptoassets

5.5 PPI HQ update

  • The office is set up and running.
https://ppi.works/
We have taken over the “Glaesernes Mobil” from PPDE to make it available to the Pirate movement. Unfortunately, many repairs are necessary, but the financing is secured. https://ppi.works/en/the-glass-mobile/
Perhaps you have a few suggestions for the new design in purple and orange.
  • Question from the last meeting: Should we confirm our status with TechSoup (via https://www.stifter-helfen.de/) to receive discounts on some IT products and services?
We already have an account with Denk Selbst e.V. Since our status as a non-profit organization will not begin until 2026, it currently does not make sense to apply for an account with “Stifter Helfen.”
There are many offers, but only some of them can be used for our foundation. The lectures are quite expensive and only available in German. The hardware is usually very outdated (e.g., not compatible with Windows 11).

6 AOB - Any other business

  • Update the PPI wikipedia.
  • Thomas wrote translations and we should put Davoodi´s speech and we should put it online.
  • Pirate Times. Thomas and others have rights to publish on Pirate Times.
