4 - REPORTS
4.1 - Short reports of the board members 1)
Board
- Keith Goldstein: We posted blogs about our recent activities at UNOV and UNOG. We also signed up representatives at UNHQ for the WSIS+20 UN General Assembly High-Level Meeting, 15–17 Dec. Aside from that I updated about the GA. The email was sent as required, but we need to update about the agenda, details of elections, and additional information for anyone seeking to come to the event in person. I propose a new agenda item called "Website Updates" where we discuss information that we shared and want to share on our website and social media. I add links to the blogs and info below in that new section.
- Gregory Engels: Busy with local campaign.
- Bailey Lamon: Back to working on the Palestine statement. I started this months ago, and I am working on it again with more focus.
- Alexander Isavnin: Nothing to report, doing Pirate business in Russia, completed course at pirateacademyeu
- Sebastian Krone:
- I monitored the PPI technology as I do every day.
All patches are up to date. All systems are running smoothly.
- I have not yet received a reply from Carlos and Schoresch as to where I should send the password for their mailbox at pp-international.
- Maycow Toledo:
- Nothing to report
- Carlos Polo
- not present
- Thomas Gaul
- nothing to report, had been busy with family issues
Alternates:
* Babak Tubis
- not present
- Schoresch Davoodi
- helped that the Articles of the Slovenian PP got translated and published
- With Babak we worked on a way thart PP in Europe and also intrernational can work a plattform sio we have debates and discussions with different PP +
on topics. The issue is many stay atm still in their national bubble see the comment under the article by the Chair of PP Niedersachsen - for example, so we need to find a way to help Piratens to also look outwards from their national bubble. (side effect we have more debates inside the German Pirate Party about Energy policy).
- Talked with Keith and PP BW about that in Freiburg for the upcomimg UEFA Football match in Jan 2026 https://www.openpetition.de/petition/online/am-22-januar-2026-stadionverbot-fuer-maccabi-tel-aviv-in-freiburg their is a pedition that Israeli citizens should get banned to attend the match. It created already some uproar in Germasn Twitter but maybe it is good if PP Israel and PP BW talk with Each other more because we have a rise of Antisemtism and smears against ppl of Israel in general inside of Germany. So talking also with the PP Landesverbände who often barely have a knowledge about whatr is going on the PP international Level might also be a key to internal PR.
- Stefan Dekkers
- not present
- Mab introduces himself
5.1 - Proposals
- TT5 Collaboration with PPEU

- Topic: AI and Fundamental Rights
- hybrid or not. preference for in person, with online audience and streaming, so the audience can be online but the speakers should be on location.
- fees for speakers, budget. We need to brainstorm how to get the money.
- some speakers can ask their institutions for funding. It would be great to have a crowdfunding on the PPEU website. Can we apply for something? Perhaps we can borrow a place. It may be
5.2 Winter GA 10.01.2025
- Agenda etc.
- We have the following spreadsheet of elections: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dVei_OLF1XdWKIEJ4wGSxRz0611S6As8i4TRLooePQU/edit?usp=sharing
- Last election there were 4 board members for 2 years and 1 for 1 year. This means we should have an election of 3 board members for 2 years and vice chair.
Alternates there is no limit.
- We need to publish the agenda, elections, and other information for visitors, participants...
- We need to do a pulse check with each of the members and gauge their attendance. We should also emphasize that we will accept proxy and postal voting, so they can help us make quorum by doing so. Can we split up the members list and write to each?
- For copy/paste of the agenda: https://wiki.pp-international.net/wiki/index.php?title=PPI_General_Assembly_JAN_2025
- Write to USPP on Discord and other Pirate parties to invite to present briefly at the GA.
- Keith: I have been writing with them. Some of their members have issues with some of the stances of PPI and some of its members. We are still on good speaking terms, and I think we could definitely improve our relations with most of them and others by opening up our organization towards voicing a wider range of opinions from pirate parties about global issues. I presented a formal invitation for a statement, recording, online, or inperson speaker. We await a confirmation.
5.3 - Working Groups Update
- GA Working Group Team
- Let´s write a blog about it. We will confirm the group at the next meeting.

- WSIS GA
5.5 PPI HQ update
- The office is set up and running.
- As you know, we have taken over the “Glaesernes Mobil” from PPDE to make it available to the Pirate movement.
- Perhaps you have a few suggestions for the new design in purple and orange.
- We are preparing for the general meeting, have secured a hotel block, and are looking for a venue. It is necessary to have a list of visitors in Potsdam.
- If we are only a small group, we can use our local office (room for max. 16 people).
- We are also looking for helpers.
