Board
- Keith Goldstein: I facilitated the registration for 2 of our representatives to participate on Sept. 25th at the UNHQ High-Level Meeting on the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases and the Promotion of Mental Health (info below). We are running a bit low on blog content. We need more routine English content. Over the summer people were on vacation and attended less events.
- Gregory Engels: Summer Break.
- Bailey Lamon: Summer Break. Working on a blog about Gaza. I have been working on it for a while. It turned into a big project.
- Alexander Isavnin: Summer Break. Freedom restrictions are appearing in Russia. Maybe in PPI you have seen comments about European topics about restricting freedom. I would like for more posts from the Russian side to PPI, but we have been doing the opposite - reposting PPI's posts in Russian in our media. We hope to give more links. A lot of activities related to freedoms. A lot of comments related to software companies that left Russia...
- Sebastian Krone:
- I have been monitoring the PPI tech as I do every day.
- All the patches are up to date.
- All systems are running smoothly.
- Still some problems with spam, but it's going better.
- We have a solution to handle the G-Mail problem, we have no solution with the PPDE mail problem, because we are still blocked by their Malcow mail server.

5.1 - Proposals
- GA
- Winter?
- Working group...
- Bastian: We need a budget for this. If we hold a GA in November or December. We will also need money for TT5. It will be good to organize a few months later.
- Discussion of hosting it in Warsaw, Prague, or Berlin/Potsdam.
- Schoresch: Poland would be a great place politically, especially to support the Pirate Party of Poland.
- Let´s have a working group meeting Sept. 2nd at 20:00 UTC.
- TT5
- Spring, Summer, Vienna?
- Working group...
- Bastian: I think it is a minimum of 2000 or 3000 euros (for TT5). We need to coordinate with a location and other announcements.
- Keith will send a message to the people in Vienna and ask them when they would like to have a meeting.
5.2 - Working Groups Update
- Maybe there was a SCENE working group. It is in the calendar.
- GA working group will update soon.
5.3 Economic Update
- Treasurer Report:
- Bank accounts 3,379.76 CHF / 4.08 EUR
- PayPal EUR 376.68
- Keith and Sebastian had a meeting in Potsdam to get PPI's cryptocurrency back.
- History:
- It is not possible to register a Kraken account for PPI as an organization because we do not have registration documents. Therefore, I opened a Kraken account with the PPI Foundation, which is already registered in Germany. It is quite chaotic to submit all the necessary documents, including the transparency register. But I think we are almost there.
- History:
- Interim result:
- They need more time to check our passports... and now the passport copies we provided don't match something...
- Question: We donated about EUR 150 to the crowdfunding for the IGF 2025 in Oslo. Where is the money?
- Keith will care for.
5.4 ECOSOC/UN
- Sept. 25th Participation at the UNHQ High-Level Meeting on the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases and the Promotion of Mental Health.
- We prepared short statements and are awaiting confirmation of whether we can make a statement. A draft of our statements can be found here: https://etherpad.pp-international.net/p/unhq-ncd-aeny0n0
5.5 PPI HQ update
- The headquarters is up and running. We have amended our statutes to be recognized as a non-profit, tax-exempt association (hard work with the tax office).
- Surprise: We have taken over the “Glaesernes Mobil” from PPDE to make it available for the Pirate movement. Unfortunately, a lot of repairs are needed, but the financing is secured.
- Alex: Let's have GA in it ;)
- Bastian: bring ideas of how to use it for campaigning in Europe. Example possible campaign - against AI in weapons
