4 - REPORTS
4.1 - Short reports of the board members 1)
Board
- Keith Goldstein:
- We had our PPEU meeting. Attended Pirate Beer. I published a few blogs. I am working on new ones, both from UNOV and an update from Alex. I will be going to UNOV from April 15-20. I will be meeting with contacts that work there, as well as with our Pirate representatives that will be visiting the center on our behalf. I submitted the CEPA statement on our behalf.
- Gregory Engels:
- not present
- Alexander Isavnin:
- Participated in Pirate Beer and the PPEU meeting. Perhaps we have not reached a great agreement, but it was great to have the EU meeting. There was an open call of support Open Source with the UN, where PPRU participated. I think it would be great if we could pursue this.
- Sebastian Krone:
- I have been monitoring the PPI technique as I do every day.
- All patches are up to date.
- All systems are running smoothly.
- And a lot of treasure's work.
- We have transferred pp-international.net to another hoster and hope that the mail problems are now solved.
- Participate joined PPEU & PPI meeting, too.
- Bailey Lamon:
- I attended Pirate Beer as well as the meeting with PPEU.
- Maycow Toledo:
- excused
- Mark Anthony:
- I wrote a blog on Israël & Palestine with a someone of our party. We started writing it because members of our party started demanding a party position concerning the conflict. This all started when the greek party members started harassing delegates that voted at the PPEU against the Greek motion. The blog was a succes. Very greatful to be part of that work. The Greek harassment has not stoppen yet.

- Carlos Polo
- not present
- Thomas Gaul
- excused
Alternates:
- Babak Tubis
- We had our PPEU meeting where we worked with Mark Anthony & Keith Goldstein on the PPGR issue
- Schoresch Davoodi
- We had our PPEU meeting, worked with Mark Anthony & Keith Goldstein on PPGR issue , monitoring political environment, mostly national
- Mark: I am curious to hear about the issues. We should know whether we have to do research.
- Schoresch: We can discuss this on any other business.
5.1 - Proposals
- Email issues
- A big thanks to Bastian for solving the email issue. This is not a proposal, but simply recognition that we had to implement an emergency fix of the hosting that would enable us to receive and send emails with the UN and other registered bodies. We would like to encourage our board members and all of our members to use our technology.
I would suggest we use UN@PPI.works (different tec structure) - but you have to listen the mail account with your client (no forwarding) <Bastian>
- Keith: I would be happy to change our registered emails. Bastian and Keith will conduct a few tests, and we can go ahead and set it up.
- Recognition of PPNL statement
- https://piratenpartij.nl/israel-palestina/
- Bailey recognizes that it is a good statement and she supports it. She is sorry that they have received harrassment.
- Schoresch as well would like to support the statement.
5.2 - Working Groups Update
5.3 Economic Update
- Treasurer Report:
- Finances:
- Bank accounts 3,404.76 CHF / 30.72 EUR
- PayPal 241.92 EUR
- Soon there will be a meeting to recover PPI's cryptocurrency (before next board meeting)
- Sebastian and Keith will have a meeting soon to discuss setting up all of the accounts.
- there will be possibility to collect donation in cryptocurrency
5.4 ECOSOC/UN
- Question from MarkAnthony about all that UN hustle
- Suggestion from Alex about endorsing https://unite.un.org/news/sixteen-organizations-endorse-un-open-source-principles
- UN is an intergovernmental organization, but for some point especially from ECOSOC they started collecting opinions from NGOs about various issues. The UN is slowly moving from governments to NGOs and other organizations. For Russian Pirates and other organizations this is the only opportunity to participate. We have human rights issues, telecommunication issues, and we have a lot to say. We should add that the whole UN is a kind of aimed to SDGs. Maybe we have to arrange our activities in relation to SDGs. It is sometimes difficult, but it is possible.
- Keith is visiting UNOV. There are no special events, but perhaps other members will join.
- IGF is a great opportunity to go. Excellent possibilities for Networking and get to know many people in Pirates agenda
- Crowdfunding
- We just keep this on the menu that we need to set up a CF campaign.
5.5 PPI HQ update
- The headquarter is operational. We are currently working on being recognized as a non-profit association (hard work with the tax office).
- We will hold a general assembly to change statutes and approve memberships
- Wiki will has been changed (statutes, translations)
- Shop: Business registration will soon be made at the public order office
6 AOB - Any other business
- PPEU and other guest UN groundspass participants.
- We are waiting for requests to represent us.
- Complaints of improper etiquette by PPGR relating to insistance of support for anti-Israel motion.
- Mark, the motion was voted against by almost all of the PPEU members that were present. After that another motion was presented, but that was rejected as well. Members were harrassed as a result. It was very hurtful to be treated this way.
- Pirate beer and other events
- Upcoming PPI blogs
- UNOV trip
- Who is attending IGF in Oslo (22-27 June 2025)?
- Alex(me) would like to go, but have financtial restrictions, if you are attending and booked huuuge airbnb with extra couch - i will jump in.
- Bastian is there for the whole week and can offer a room also.
