4 - REPORTS

4.1 - Short reports of the board members

Board

  • Keith Goldstein: I set up our attendance right now at the UNOG AI Governance Summit. Alex Kohler and Carlos Polo are attending on our behalf. I continue helping with Think Twice preparation. We are working on some new blogs with a few different groups, but there is a bit of a back log. We could use help editing. Oh, and I met with Gregory in person in Frankfurt.
  • Gregory Engels: Met with Keith
  • Bailey Lamon: Nothing to report. I attended the GA in June.
  • Alexander Isavnin: Attended GA, started application for IGF, maybe we should attend in Kenya. Collecting suggestions.
  • Sebastian Krone:
Attended the GA & PPEU-Council meeting.
Despite the end of the maintenance contract, I have continued to monitor the PPI technology as I do every day.
I requested confirmation of the termination but have not yet received a response. I still need this confirmation for our liability insurance—still no response!
Despite the General Assembly’s resolution on June 20, no one from the board has contacted me to explain what happens next.
The servers can also simply be shut down immediately if that is what is desired.
In several prior board meetings we requested that you send your termination notice to the Board, as in board@pp-international.net. To date that email has not been sent or received.

I was at the PPEU council meeting as an alternate delegate and then as a full delegate when Keith had to be absent.

Bart attended the PPI GA and the PPEU Council Meeting. Made PPEU WordPress comment on a Social Media Post.

5.1 - Proposals

  • Keith, mentions the Stop Killing The Internet campaign.

Davoodi and Gregory are in favor. PPEU has already joined as well as other organizations that we recognize. Bailey also agrees.
No objections.
We should also put it up on our website, to show that we support this campaign.
We should make a statement about the passing of chat control.
  • Write a blog about the chat control vote in the European Parliament.
  • Statement about censorship, our ideology that censorship is not a good solution.
  • Reviewing our admins on our social media channels.
Bastian says we need a collection of social media credentials with a sim card.
