4 - REPORTS
4.1 - Short reports of the board members
Board
- Keith Goldstein: I have been helping with TT5. We will be there Oct. 17
- Gregory Engels: I was travelling for two weeks, back agein now. Intending to meet with Bastian.
- Bailey Lamon: not present
- Alexander Isavnin: Helping with local candidates. I might suggest a statement in the future, but not at a global level.
- Sebastian Krone: not present
- Maycow Toledo: not present
- Mark Anthony: Going to Ukraine again, working on an article about Iran. There are a wide range of leftist groups, and I notice a change in sentiment regarding Ukraine, which is becoming more sympathetic to Russia. It is very successful at the moment. Young people feel that they are forced by the Dutch government, and they are scared. There have also been issues with leftist protests that appeared to support Hamas, and this is worrying because most people are not pro Russian, pro Ayatollah, or Hamas. I think it would be interesting to write about this as well. I see more pro Russian images, and if these are visible enough and don´t get removed internally then you will get a situation where groups will go along with the sentiment because they don´t want to lose their friends. I also often go to community kitchens and you can hear the change in sentiment.

- Schoresch Davoodi: Had been talking last month at F96 again and will later at 20h also be there in a debate about the future of Europe. So i will be leaving the meeting maybe earlier. Had written a new article for starke Meinungen on September 21st. https://starke-meinungen.de/2026/09/21/wie-elitenversagen-die-extreme-staerkt/ Had helped for Mark : Anthony some article in dutch about the dangers the Islamic Republic and how ppl in exile then be able to protect themselves in this issue. Provided him with a draft he can use it for their work.
- There are two to three different upcoming motions for the PPDE GA we need to be aware of and monitor them, if they get passed, if there míght be any impact and maybe unintendend consequences by them, on the pirate brand in general. We will see more after the German GA. Had some talks with Dennis Plagge former PPDE board member in Niedersachsen and also with Borys Sobieski former Chairman of PPDE and other Pirates and former Pirates in general as well about the future of the Pirate Movement in General in Germany and the challenges it faces and will face in the future especially if the Greens might split themselves in the near future, There are rumors of a upcoming "Habeck Party" atm in germany.
