4 - REPORTS

4.1 - Short reports of the board members 1)

Board

  • Gregory Engels: Working with European elections. A bit behind on to-do tasks from prior meetings. European elections are in 2 weeks. After that I will have more time for PPI work.
  • Keith Goldstein: I attended the unofficial Pirate beer that was announced privately on Telegram. It would be good to have a publicly announced Pirate beer with small groups present that meet in person. I am extremely busy with work for the next couple months and unable to do as much as usual. From July I will be a bit more free again.
  • Bailey Lamon: not present
  • Alexander Isavnin: Participated in WG meetings, joined Pirates Without borders "beer", preparing for Russian Autumn elections
  • Sebastian Krone:
I have monitored the PPI technology as I do every day.
All patches are up-to-date. All systems are running smoothly.
I have asked several times to see the contract for data processing by a processor (Art. 28.3 GDPR) regarding our Discourse hosted by Stefan Thöni that we use. When will this happen?
So far I have only access to our bank, but not to the accounts. The release has been missing here for weeks :-(
For urgent payments, I will lay out the amount or use the PPI PayPal if possible.
I have now paid Pat's outstanding invoices for looking after the postbox and forwarding incoming mail over the last 5 (!) years.
But there are still other unpaid invoices.

5.2 - Working Groups Update

there was no meeting since the last one. Bailey added "social media giodelines" suggestion to continious minutes.
Bastian: it is a problem that we are already loosing our credentials. We tried to get access to FB and so on. We have to sort it out.
Bastian: we have "social media credencials" storage, but not all medias are present there
Keith: FB is not an issue, we have access and list of admins, Twitter is an issue.
Gregory: Bailey had this, i may have it. I have admin access for Telegram channel, i have admin rights to Instagram. If something is missing, let's go find it. We are working on modifying page ownership to FB page, to link it to Instagram, i will make an update later
Bastian: we need possibility to have a recovery process for credencials. We may need to have Pro account in Twitter. We need to secure all other "professional accounts".

Gregory: Ok, I'm in Twitter, have found the password and remembered the registered phone number that is attached to the account.

Bastian: We need to get a PPI Phone number to be used for the registration of accounts, and that can stay with the board.

5.3 Economic Update

5.4 ECOSOC/UN

We have sent an authorization paper for Carlos to attend an AI event in Geneva. Let's recheck our official registered contacts at ECOSOC and be sure somebody reads announcements and suggests actions, like presenting or submitting policy papers.

5.5 PPI HQ update

The new statutes for the new organisation is being prepared.

6 AOB - Any other business

Gregory: Gremany hope to get 1 in EU elections, Czechia hope to get 4 people, Luxemburg hope for 1, Slovakia have some hopes too.
Mia: Pirates are quite positive and have good vibes.
Bastian: We have some board members who has never attended any.
Gregory reads articles related to vacanting seat of the inactive board member. Art XIII(8)
Gregory: let's write a warning e-mail (maybe with suggestion to voluntary resignation) and do this next time.
